CheapFoodMap is operated by AI Park Consulting, LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

What we collect

• Email address (when you sign up)
• IP address (for security and rate limiting)
• Approximate location (only when you enable it)
• Content you submit (meals, prices, comments, photos)
• Basic analytics via Vercel Analytics (pages visited, time on site)

How we use it

• Run the service (show you the map, save your contributions)
• Send you account emails (login links, notifications you opt into)
• Prevent spam and abuse (rate limits, moderation)
• Improve CheapFoodMap (anonymized analytics)

Who we share it with

• Supabase (database and authentication hosting)
• Google (maps and geolocation services)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Vercel (hosting and analytics)

We do NOT sell or share your personal data with advertisers or third-party marketers.

Your rights

• View your data: contact feedback@cheapfoodmap.com
• Delete your account: we delete all personal data within 30 days. Submissions you've made are also deleted (we use a hard-delete model).
• Export your data: contact feedback@cheapfoodmap.com
• Opt out of non-essential emails

California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Data retention

• Server logs (including IP addresses) are retained for 90 days for security purposes
• Account data is retained while your account is active
• When you delete your account, all personal data and submitted content is deleted within 30 days

Photos

When you upload photos to CheapFoodMap, we strip metadata (including EXIF location data) from images before storing them. This protects your privacy.

Cookies

• We use essential cookies for login and session management
• Google Maps and Vercel Analytics may set their own cookies for service functionality
• We don't use tracking cookies for advertising

Children

• CheapFoodMap is for users 13 and older
• We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13
• If you believe we've collected data from a child under 13, contact feedback@cheapfoodmap.com and we'll delete it

Changes to this policy

• We'll notify you of significant changes by email
• Continued use after changes means you accept them
